We are announcing today that the Rev’d Dr Roger Standing has tendered his resignation from the role of Principal of Spurgeon’s College with effect from 29 January 2017. Roger is currently taking research leave following a period of ill health and will continue with his research leave until the end of his employment with the College. Roger has come to this decision in consultation with the College Governors and with much prayer and consideration.
Roger and Marion are thankful to God and grateful for all the friendship and support they have enjoyed at the College over the last nine years while Roger has served in a variety of roles, latterly as Principal. They will continue to value this friendship and support, together with the community’s prayers, as Roger works on a number of writing projects and prepares for the next phase of ministry during the coming months.
The Governors are very grateful to Roger for his leadership of the College and the valuable contribution he has made over the years to its work. They are delighted that he has accepted a Senior Research Fellowship at Spurgeon’s College and will continue to be involved with the College in the future.
